How Can Your Website Be Better?
Are you keen on your website to be better but you’re not sure where to start or what to do? Don’t panic, this article gives you a list of things you can do to make a brand new website better than your old one or you can change your existing website.
Keep It Tidy:
If you have a messy website with ten drops down boxes here there and everywhere it will make it harder for visitors to your site to know where they are going and what they are looking for. Keep your website tidy and your visitor will stay on your website making a conversion more likely.
Keep Calling For Action:
Have a call to action on every page, this should be something that makes the visitor do something like contacting you, purchase a product or sign up for a newsletter. Call to actions works well as clear and simple buttons.
Make sure your telephone number is clear and easy to see on the homepage, the visitor may have been to your site before and they just want your contact number to call you and order something, they don’t want to be rifling through your website to find a contact number.
Many customers will want to know when they can contact you, when you are open or when they can come in and see you so putting your opening hours on your website can be a great idea.
Be Mobile Friendly:
Hundreds and Thousands of people now have smartphones; you need to make sure your website is mobile friendly so visitors to your site, from their smartphone, can still use your website, find out more about you and purchase your product/service.
Keep The Brand:
Your logo and website need to be part of the same business, this may sound silly but if your logo is blue and white yet the website is full of red and yellow it will not be clear that the two are connected. Taking themes and colours from logo through to the website, leaflets, flyers and business cards can be really good ways of making people remember your business.
These are just a few ways in which your website can be better – can you think of any other ways?
