Body Aid Solutions are a fitness training provider offering courses in personal training, gym instruction, yoga and many more. They came to us initially for some SEO work, however after assessing their old site, they decided it was time for a whole new website and a bit of a brand facelift.

A Snippet of

The Requirements

Our client needed a website that streamlined the course booking process and an integrated e-learning platform to allow their clients to complete parts of their training courses on-site. At the heart of this brief was enhancing the user experience of the website and bringing Body Aid Solutions to the next level.

Project Process

The Initial Stage

Our first step in this project was giving the client a refreshed look. We retained their logo and iconography but gave them a whole new colour palette for the new website.

We chose pink, blue and royal purple, moving away from their previous green, teal and white shades. The royal purple and blues not only symbolise strength and determination, which is a core theme in the nature of the business, but it also implies a premium quality service, which was an important message to get across.

Roc Grotesk
Wide Extra Bold

Roc is a sans serif grotesk inspired by American wood types from the end of the 19th century. With nine weights in five widths, this family contains 45 fonts in total.

Roc Grotesk comes in a range of five widths: Compressed, Condensed, Normal, Wide and ExtraWide, in order to cover a wide scope of applications.

DORIS

Dosis is a rounded sans-serif type family. It started with the Extra Light style, useful only at size 36pt or upm and the Extended Latin character set included many alternative characters, all designed by Edgar Tolentino and Pablo Impallari.

Dosis was expanded into a complete set of weights in September 2011.

Next Steps

Once we refined the new colour palette and typography, the website design and development stage began. This site was going to have a large amount of content and functionality, so it was vital that we took the time to streamline everything.

We needed to build a booking system that worked perfectly, as well as a completely bespoke online learning portal, so we definitely had our work cut out for us. But as always, no challenge is too big for the geeks!

Bespoke Course Function

One of the most important aims of this project was for prospective customers to be able to book a course online for a date that suited them at the most suitable location. This was a function on the client’s previous website; however, the process was confusing and not very user friendly.

As you can see, we made the course booking function as simple as possible, with this function blending in seamlessly with the theme of the rest of the website.

Project Process

e-Learning Platform

The e-Learning platform was the site’s newest feature, as there was no equivalent on our client’s old website. We wanted to make sure this was a slick, easily navigatable part of the site on both mobile and desktop. As well as displaying which online activities were available to complete as part of the course, we designed a full dashboard displaying upcoming important dates for the course, a progress icon and clear links to video resources.
