    FAQs

How many blogs should I publish?

You may hear that some marketing agencies recommend that you blog every week or every day. This would have been helpful advice several years ago, but it isn’t necessarily true within today’s SEO. Content needs to be focused on relevancy. You only need to write a blog when you have something relevant to talk about. A relevant blog will benefit the user much more effectively than a blog written because it needs to be.

How long should a blog be?

With any content, it needs to be relevant above anything else. The content length needs to be correct and serve the purpose of your blog. Google does not penalise short-form content. However, longer content performs better within organic searches. But this is not a result of word count. It is because many search queries require detailed results and content to be covered in more depth.

Is it true that only new content receives a better ranking?

Content freshness is a factor that Google considers to determine the quality and rank of your content. But this doesn’t mean new content has to be written every time you publish a blog / piece of content. We have a blog – about logo facts – that is from 2019. This would be considered a dated blog. However, it still ranks highly within search engines. To maintain this ranking, we update the copy with new examples, updated statistics and check the copy is correct. This keeps the content relevant even though the original article was published in 2019.
