Bishopsgate Corporate Finance are one of the leading corporate finance houses with a team of experienced advisors. Bishopsgate contacted Geek as their website was in need of a redesign. They felt they had outgrown their as it did not reflect their values, ethos and personality.

The Concern

In a digital age, first impressions are more important than ever, which Bishopsgate learnt the hard way. They had lost out on potential work due to their website’s failure to portray their business correctly. Client feedback informed them that if securing the work was solely down to the website, Bishopsgate wouldn’t have been considered. Therefore, the site needed to improve.

Brand Identity Development

The foundation of ensuring a business’ website connotes their core values is establishing their brand identity – this is achieved through communications with our design team and client. Our client relays their desired look, and our design team translate that into a brand identity. Bishopsgate had a logo and set colours but needed documentation to outline how best to implement its branding. We created a branding sheet summarising the colour codes, font family and logo variations.

Once we had outlined the branding, we moved on to the website redesign. Even though we were equipped with some inspirational websites, we aimed to make Bishopsgate’s new website genuinely unique to them. With values such as sophistication, cleanliness and professionalism, we focused on those traits to ensure the website had the essence of who Bishopsgate are.

From discussions with Bishopsgate, we were eager to streamline the website, so we used our time to understand the goals and ambitions of everyone at Bishopsgate sincerely. Once we knew their aspirations, we put forward concepts and flows that would work within their competitive industry. We aimed to engage their target audience through meaningful interactions, seamless user experiences and high-quality visuals.

Ultimately, the main factor for the website redesign was to elevate the site to meet modern web standards, reflect where Bishopsgate are as a business and represent their ambitions going forward. There needed to be a precise level of professionalism, but this needed to be balanced with elements of the business’ personality. This personality did not want to be too playful, as it required corporate finance seriousness. But, successfully, we have achieved a website that makes Bishopgate stand out in a competitive sector.

Continuous Design Relationship

With a defined brand and working relationship in place, we also help Bishopsgate design Information Memorandums (IM). We assisted with the design and printing of confidential IMs to be used as a tool to attract investors from third-party companies. These documents are crucial for pitching to investors and must reflect the branding of the company selling its business. We collaborated closely with their deal teams to develop visually impactful, professionally designed documents that aligned with each portfolio company’s brand identity. This design process included researching the company, understanding the data and comprehending the objectives of the IM to craft a compelling narrative and investment proposal.

Our designers incorporated key financial data, charts and infographics in an easy-to-digest graphical format to showcase historical performance and growth potential. The IMs highlighted the investment merits using management bios, SWOT analysis, company overview, industry drivers, historical and projected financials and valuation considerations. By balancing detailed content with polished, branded design, we produced high-quality, confidential IMs that effectively communicated the company’s story. This provided Bishopsgate with an excellent marketing tool for reaching and persuading potential investors in new private equity deals.
