Evercade, a rapidly growing, UK-based retro gaming brand, is the brainchild of the same creators as HyperMegaTech. They have been designing game consoles that run their classic game cartridges, officially licensed by renowned publishers such as Capcom, Namco, and Atari, marking their success in the industry.
Recognizing the importance of staying up to date, Evercade underwent a significant website update
Evercade felt their website didn’t represent their aspirations. They wanted to enhance the user experience and provide the latest information about their products.
The new website followed their latest branding to a tee
The aim was to emphasise their style on their website and to give a consistent look throughout all of their marketing material and packaging. We also built the website to allow it to be updated easily with cartridges, news updates, patch notes, retailers, etc.
Clean & Clear Design
Below are some examples of the desktop pages throughout the website. A key feature of the design was the large product images and videos which are the main selling tool. The rest of the pages were left clean and simple to not detract from this.
Fully Responsive Design
When designing websites, we always design a mobile version of the page alongside the desktop version. We then test the site with multiple devices and browsers to ensure the website is optimised for the vast majority of situations.
Complex Development
One of the more complex features on the site was the games list which pulled information from the backend to allow users to search all of the games that are on their cartridges and filter/sort them in multiple ways to see which cartridge includes the game that they are looking for.
