Elements training are a gym that offers tailored training programs based in Peterborough. We designed their previous website some time ago, so they came to us again wanting a fresh new look and an enhanced user experience.

Project Process
The Initial Stage
Our first step in this project was to refine our client’s image and branding to create a fresh new look for the website. We narrowed the colour scheme down to grey, teal and white to keep things simple yet effective and designed bespoke iconography to enhance the user-friendly nature of the new site.
The new iconography and the simplified colour scheme helped make the design pop. Keeping the background elements grey and white really makes the teal elements of the site shine and is a great way to attract attention to the key information on the site.
BEBAS NEUE
Bebas Neue is a display family suitable for headlines, captions, and packaging, designed by Ryoichi Tsunekawa. It’s based on the original Bebas typeface.
PT Sans
PT Sans is based on Russian sans serif types of the second part of the 20th century, but at the same time has distinctive features of contemporary humanistic designs. The family consists of 8 styles: 4 basic styles, 2 captions styles for small sizes, and 2 narrows styles for economic type setting.

Next Steps
Once the refined look was established, we could begin developing the website. As well as building in a lot of informational content, we needed to build e-commerce and online booking platforms into the site too. It was important that people could sign up for classes and join the gym online whilst also having the e-commerce platform to buy fitness accessories to make Elements a one-stop shop for achieving their training and fitness goals.

Bespoke Page Headers
We also built bespoke page headers into the website at the client’s request. These custom headers aimed to represent the content on each page clearly and add another eye-catching element. This added a really unique touch to the site and enhanced the accessibility and user interface.
