When Molly from The Tiny Planner came to us, all she had was a name and an idea for her aesthetic. As a wedding planner, she needed a website and brand identity that reflected her and her business through and through, and we were happy to take on the task!

the brief

We needed to create a whole new brand identity for Molly, giving her a site and branding graphics that encompassed her brand’s message and services entirely. The website needed to convey romance and enchantment while indicating a premium service. The heart of this project was creating a brand that had the demographic of Molly’s clients at the forefront.

project process

the initial stage

The first place to start was creating the all-important branding to build the website around. As you can see, we decided on minimalistic linework imagery complemented by a very soft colour palette. The predominant colours used are warm brown shades, with darker teals to offset the beige tones and yellow/green highlight colours to emphasise the finer details over the darker tones.

Overall, the colour pallet and imagery presents a very intimate and whimsical feel, with the darker teal shades conveying a sense of luxury and high-quality service.

project process

next steps

After the branding was created, it was time to design and build the website. Using the colour scheme and branding sheet we developed, we designed an easily navigatable sitemap, with content on each page that was engaging and informative.

Iconography and linework designs were created in line with the new brand to add to relevant site pages. An arch shape was a common motif used throughout the site to frame pictures and important information.

Finally, it was important that we built Molly’s Instagram gallery into the site in a way that was visually pleasing and could update automatically when new photos were posted.
